1) Line. Of. Action. Always consider ur line of action in a pose so it helps ur eye travel through the motion.
2) Gesture studies. Study from photos, in-studio life drawing sessions, cafe sketching, etc. spending at least 30 seconds to 2 minutes per pose. If you want to refine just a bit, no longer than 5 minutes. The whole point of this exercise is so you train your eye to think quick in capturing the overall shape and flow of a pose.
3) Curved vs. Straight lines. Making these lines work cooperatively together help lead the eye better through a drawing. I think this old post I made has a good image that conveys what i mean.
